Introduction
The conflict between Iran and Israel, which has been going on for many countries, has now reached a highly sensitive mode in 2025. If seen, the conflict between the two countries is not new. The military, political and diplomatic conflict between these two countries affects the whole world, especially the countries of the Middle East. The incident that happened today on 13 June 2025 shows that the conflict between Iran and Israel is no longer limited to proxy wars. Rather, today both countries are standing in front of each other with their chests up. Let us know what is the main dispute between the two and why? Let us know in detail -
Reason for conflict: - Why are they enemies of each other?
Following are the main reasons for conflict between Iran and Israel.
1. Palestine
The most major dispute between the two countries is because of Palestine. Both have different stands on the Palestine issue.
Since Israel came into existence in 1948, Israel's clear argument regarding Palestine has been that the Palestine issue is over now and there is no country named Palestine in the world. Israel is the only legitimate Jewish nation. The world should recognize it as such. Many major countries including the United Nations have recognized Israel as a country, whereas Palestine is not a recognized country.
Iran has a very clear stand on the Palestine issue. Iran says that the very existence of Israel in the world is illegal. It does not accept the existence of Israel. It says that Israel is a Zionist regime and has forcibly occupied the land of Palestine. Iran does not even accept the two-state solution. It believes that the very existence of Israel in the world is illegal. Justice for Palestinians is possible only by eradicating Israel from its roots.
Iran supports terrorist groups
Iran supports terrorist groups Hezbollah (Lebanon), Hamas (Gaza) directly or indirectly. Iran gives money, arms and training to these terrorist organizations. Iran calls these organizations people fighting for the freedom of its country. (All countries do not consider these organizations as terrorist organizations)
Regarding these organizations, Israel says that these organizations are terrorist organizations. They are being run by Iran. They are involved in the murder and attack of the people of Israel. These terrorist organizations and their supporters are a challenge to its sovereignty and security. It will never accept this.
Iran's Nuclear Program
Iran has been continuously enriching uranium for a long time and it may become a nuclear power in the coming days. Iran says that its nuclear program is peaceful and will remain so.
On Iran's nuclear program, Israel says that if Iran succeeds in its nuclear program and if it becomes a nuclear power then it is a threat to Israel's existence. Israel itself is also a nuclear power but it has never confirmed it.
Religious aspect: Both the countries follow different religions. Israel is a Shia dominated radical Islamic country. It follows the customs of Islam. While Israel is a Jewish country and it is the only Jewish country, it has a dispute with the Palestinians. Who follow the Muslim religion. Therefore, one of the main reasons for enmity between Iran and Israel is religious customs.
Conflict of 13 June 2025
Early this morning, Israel has carried out several drone strikes on Iran. This attack by Israel was mainly on Iran's evidence installations. According to Iran's news channel, 78 people have died and 329 people have been injured in this attack by Israel. Iran's Army Chief, Iran's top commander and 6 nuclear scientists have died in this attack by Israel on Iran. In the coming times, this conflict between the two countries can take a more terrible form. After this attack by Israel on Iran, Iran called Israel a devil and threatened to take revenge.
Can there be peace ?
There is very little possibility of peace between the two countries because this conflict is not limited to the borders of these two countries but has now become a strategic conflict. If peace is to be brought, then both countries will have to change themselves and come to a table for talks. Iran will have to soften its radical Islamic ideology and move towards diplomacy like Israel and Arab countries. The chances of this are very low right now. Similarly, Jarwal will also have to change his policy towards Iran. He should give more priority to talks with Iran for the sake of humanity. Talks between Iran and America are currently in progress to some extent.
Conclusion
The Iran-Israel conflict is deeply rooted in historical, ideological, religious and geopolitical issues. From the Palestinian dispute to Iran’s nuclear ambitions and support for anti-Israel militant groups, tensions are not limited to political disagreements but involve existential threats and ideological confrontations. The June 13, 2025 attack represents a dangerous escalation, indicating that the conflict is moving beyond proxy wars to direct military engagement. Though peace seems a distant dream, it is not impossible. Meaningful diplomacy, ideological flexibility and regional cooperation are essential if long-term stability is to be achieved. However, in the current scenario, both sides appear adamant on their positions, making any solution highly uncertain. If the two countries are to arrive at a definitive solution, then negotiations must come to the fore; otherwise no solution is possible without negotiations.
